We’re looking for an IT Director to lead and scale our IT operations, infrastructure, and security landscape. You will be responsible for managing IT systems in the UK, South Africa and Azerbaijan, driving cybersecurity initiatives, and ensuring robust identity, device and access

management. This role is ideal for a proactive leader ready to build and optimize IT foundations in a fast-growing startup environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead IT operations, infrastructure, and security across the company

  • Oversee IT support processes, ensuring excellent service for internal teams

  • Manage Microsoft 365 environment, including security configurations and user administration

  • Drive identity and access management strategies with SSO platforms (Okta, Azure AD)

  • Define and enforce IT security policies, compliance, and risk management practices

  • Optimize IT processes through automation and best-practice implementations

  • Manage IT assets, procurement, and vendor relationships

  • Collaborate with leadership and departments to align IT initiatives with business needs

  • Mentor, lead, and hire IT team members

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in IT leadership or senior IT operations roles

  • Proven experience managing SSO platforms (Okta, Azure AD, or similar)

  • Solid expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and governance

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure (networks, cloud services, endpoint management)

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, access management, and compliance frameworks

  • Experience in IT support management with service desk systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and lead a distributed team

  • Fluent English and Russian

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with automation tools and process optimization

  • Familiarity with GDPR and international data protection regulations

  • Experience scaling IT operations in a high-growth startup

  • Microsoft Certification
