HVAC Sales Engineer

 


Location: Baku, Azerbaijan / Riga, Latvia

1. Position Objective:
To ensure a full-cycle approach to HVAC systems, including engineering design, technical support, and active sales, as well as effective interaction with clients.

The employee shall:

  • Possess strong engineering expertise in HVAC and piping systems

  • Be capable of selling technical solutions and services

  • Act as a technical consultant for clients

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Technical Leadership and Coordination

  1. Act as a technical lead in the following areas:

    • HVAC systems

    • Industrial piping

    • Ventilation and ducting systems

    • Ensure coordination with other departments (Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation & Control)

 

2.2 Design and Engineering

  1. Develop and supervise:

    • HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems

    • Industrial ducting and gas handling systems

    • Piping systems (water, gas, slurry)

  2. Perform and oversee:

    • Heat load calculations

    • Airflow and aerodynamic calculations

    • Equipment selection

  3. Conduct pipe stress analysis

    • Select: Materials / Valves and fittings /HVAC equipment

  4. Prepare and review documentation:

    • P&ID diagrams / Specifications / Material Take-Offs (MTO)

  5. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards

  6. Maintain high quality of engineering documentation

 

2.3 Construction and Commissioning Support

  1. Provide on-site engineering support

  2. Resolve technical issues during construction

  3. Participate in: Commissioning and start-up / System inspections / Punch-list preparation

  4. Analyze failures and deviations

 

2.4 Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  1. Diagnose HVAC system failures

  2. Optimize system performance

  3. Provide technical support to: Operations / Maintenance / Quality control teams

 

3. Sales Responsibilities (HVAC Sales)

3.1 Client Management

  1. Identify and attract new clients

  2. Conduct meetings and negotiations

  3. Identify customer needs

  4. Prepare commercial proposals

 

3.2 Technical Sales

  1. Select HVAC solutions based on client requirements

  2. Present Technical solutions / Economic benefits

  3. Prepare techno-commercial offers

  4. Perform project cost estimation

 

 

3.3 Sales Execution

  1. Manage clients from first contact to contract signing

  2. Participate in tenders

  3. Coordinate with suppliers

  4. Monitor contract execution

 

3.4 Business Development

  1. Analyse HVAC market trends

  2. Identify new business opportunities

  3. Develop sales strategies

  4. Participate in exhibitions and business meetings

  5. Travel to Europe for client meetings and project participation

 

4. Candidate Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Languages: Azerbaijani (AZ), Russian (RU), English (ENG) 

Experience: 4–7 years of experience in HVAC systems and Piping design 

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Strong knowledge of: HVAC systems / Industrial ventilation / High-temperature processes

  1. B2B sales experience

  2. Negotiation skills

  3. Ability to prepare commercial proposals
